The XL NYE tent at Newport Dunes before doors: truss, chandeliers, stage and VIP seating in an empty room. The same tent at capacity on New Year's Eve, lasers over a packed floor.

About

I build brand experiences that people remember and businesses can measure.

My work spans retail, museums, consumer health, hospitality and live entertainment. Museum exhibitions with six-figure attendance. Trade show programs that turn a conference floor into a pipeline. Property-wide events that move both traffic and tenant sales. Venues built from the name up.

I work across the whole thing: concept and creative direction, site planning and production, budgets, vendor negotiation, and the on-site leadership that holds it together once doors open. That range is the point. It means I can carry an event from the first idea to the last load-out without handing it off halfway.

Based in Southern California, available for work nationwide.

Guo Pei: Couture Fantasy

More than eighty couture pieces placed inside the museum's permanent galleries rather than a separate exhibition hall. Every room was paired to the work it held, so the couture read as part of the architecture instead of a visiting show.

Veterinary trade show activation

A booth built to teach rather than hand out samples. In a hall of long-established brands, the goal was to get veterinary professionals to stop, engage with the clinical story, and leave enrolled. Roughly 25,000 attendees walked the show.

XL NYE

An empty waterfront lot turned into a finished venue for one night. Custom tent build, lighting and rigging design, VIP table layouts, talent booking and programming, all planned around moving 3,500 guests through the night without the experience feeling like logistics. This is the room at the top of the page.

Time Nightclub

Built from the ground up, starting with the name and the logo. I led PR and marketing, booked the talent and ran the venue day to day, with 20 to 25 direct reports. Time became one of Southern California's premier nightlife destinations.

Hospitality  /  Restaurant creation

La Vida Cantina

Worked alongside the architects, designers and ownership to take a concept all the way to an open restaurant. Name, logo, interior direction, menu, programming and staffing, so the place felt intentional on day one rather than assembled over the first year.

A new hospitality brand with one identity across the space, the food and beverage program, the entertainment and the guest experience.

Brand collaborations

Not every experience is an event.

At Guo Pei and the Asian Couture Federation, part of my job was getting a couture house into rooms with consumer brands. I built the pitch decks behind those conversations and worked the partnerships through. The output wasn't a show floor, it was product on shelves.

  1. Mattel

    Collector series

A series of Guo Pei collector Barbie dolls, translating couture silhouettes and embroidery into a mass-market collectible.

  2. The Rug Company

    2022

The Opulent Nature collection, moving Guo Pei's motifs off the runway and into hand-knotted textiles for the home.

  3. LG  /  Su:m37

    Skincare

Limited-edition packaging and gift sets, where the couture identity had to survive being printed on a beauty carton.

  4. Disney

    Lunar New Year

A character apparel collaboration. Some of this predates my time with the house, so I keep my claim on it to the work I actually did.

  5. Fairmont Pacific Rim  /  Oakridge

    Residential

Exclusive artwork integrated into luxury home purchases, taking the collaboration model into hospitality and real estate.

I also led development of the house's NFT initiatives, and produced the presentation decks for every one of these pitches.
